Our Anniversary Weekend #35 and #56

Today is mine and Trevor's one year wedding anniversary. Even though we have been together for over 5 years this past year has been like we started all over at square one. It has been awesome. I would never give anything for Trevor. I don't know what I would do without him. You can see a few pictures from a year ago today of our wedding HERE.

We had such a wonderful weekend. I will start with Friday. Friday morning I checked off another thing on my list by trying Yoga. I did it with Marcie and Melanie at Marcie's house. It was an hour and a half long. It wasn't just regular Yoga either it was the P90X version. I didn't think that I would but I was actually sore the next day. After that we layed out for only an hour. The pool was not actually open so we couldn't get in the water and after an hour and it was time for a dip in the pool we were ready to go because it was hot. We went to Yogurt Mountain for a little treat afterwards. It was pretty good. After I got home that afternoon we got ready and me, Trevor, Mary, and Devin went to Fox Valley for dinner. It was so good! A great way to start off our anniversary weekend.

On Saturday we stayed at the Wynfrey and ate at Shula's, yummy! It was nice not to have to drive home from dinner and just walk to the room. We were full from dinner but had to get dessert so we ordered it and about 30 minutes after we were in the room they brought it to us there. After our dessert we walked around the mall for a little bit. Crazy how it was basically just us walking around the mall because it was closed. All of the stores were closed but you could still walk around. It was kind of nice and relaxing to not have to dodge people.

And that brings me to today. We just had a relaxing day today. We went to lunch with my besties from high school Kaci, Sam, and Heather and all of the husbands. We had a good time just hanging out and eating Mexican. Heather had some wonderful news for us while we were eating. They are expecting their first baby. She is already 3 months pregnant. She is due in October. We are so happy for them. They took a picture of the girls all together but it didn't turn out for some reason. Of course the guys who didn't really look to excited about taking a picture it turned out of them.

After we got home we ate our wedding cake and had a glass of Champagne to celebrate. I of course put orange juice in mine because it is not that great by itself. The cake was a lot better than I thought it would be. It was a little dry but that was it. we actually ate a whole piece.

This is the original cake all put together!

All in all we had a wonderful weekend.

Surprise Trevor with something...
Trevor and I decided to go somewhere for our one year wedding anniversary and stay at a hotel and go to a nice restaurant for dinner. So we said that we were not going to do gifts just have a nice weekend. So I decided to surprise him and get him a new silver watch anyway. He has a really nice black one but he can't wear it with brown. He has been wanting one for a little while now. I gave it to him on Friday. He was really happy with his surprise. I thought I did pretty good picking it out on my own as well. We went up to the mall on Saturday and he looked around to make sure he didn't like another one in the store better but he decided to keep the one I got him because it was his favorite. Sorry the pictures aren't that great because of course they are on my phone.

Thirsty Thursday

Last night we went to Thirsty Thursdays where I always get Diet Coke!! I was pretty disappointed though I usually get twenty-five cent boneless wings there but they are not doing that on the same night anymore. It was so pretty outside that day but chilly that night. We left earlier than we planned because we were cold. All in all it was a pretty fun night hanging out with friends. I am so ready to get a new camera, I am lost without one. Here are a few pictures that Marcie took from Thursday night.

Madison is playing soccer this year for the YMCA. This is her first year playing any sports and she is loving it. She is trying to get the concept still though. Last week she went all the way from one end of the field to the other and scored, the bad thing was it was the other teams goal! HA! She was so excited.
Here are a few pictures from Madison playing soccer. I have gone to one of her games. But I am going to try to go to another one before her season is over.

These are from the reception. I got them off of their website so they are very small. I will have to replace them later with the right size. When I tried to blow them up it just made them really fuzzy.

I don't know if I mentioned it before but they had a photo booth there. It was so much fun! They had a nice camera set up and you could go up and take whatever pictures that you wanted. They had a remote that you pushed to actually take it. We took a lot. Here are a few from that as well.

Easter

Me and Trevor's 1st Easter as a married couple!! We had a good day. We usually go to Trevor's parents church on Saturday night before Easter and to dinner after but Chad and Alissa's flight home from Mexico came in 45 minutes before it started. We were unsure if their plane would make it in on time so we did not go. They ended up making it just in time for church.

On Sunday morning we went to church with my family then to my Nanny's for lunch. We took lots of family pictures but as you all know right now I have no camera so I have to get some from my mom. As soon as I get them I will put them up.

After my Nanny's house we went to Paul and Christy's house to hang out with all of Trevor's family. We heard all about Chad and Alissa's trip and talked with them for a while. It sounded like they had a wonderful time. Unfortunately Alissa got sick one of the last days there and as soon as they got home from the airport they went to the doctor. She has Bronchitis and an ear infection. They still had a wonderful time though.

Wedding weekend is over # 31

Let me start out by saying there will be no pictures with the weekend post. My camera and my shoes were stolen at the wedding reception. How low is that. I was just really surprised but oh well I guess I just think too highly of people.

With all that off my chest the weekend was great. On Thursday night everyone started to come into town. Most of their family is from Michigan but there are a few is Atlanta and the cousins that stayed with us are living in Virgina right now. We cooked at our house and we had different waves of family coming through as they were getting into town. We ended up staying up until about one in the morning.

On Friday Trevor took off work so we could spend time with everyone. We all got together at Trevor's parents house at lunch for pizza then we went bowling with the kids and cousins from Michigan. After bowling Trevor and I made a airport run to pick up one of the groomsmen then got ready for the rehearsal. We went to the rehearsal then to Jim and Nicks for dinner. Those biscuits are sooo good. After dinner we went to Papa Saias and hung out for a little while and once again didn't get in bed until around one. On Saturday morning Trevor and I woke up and went to the gym for about an hour then we went to lunch with the groomsmen and his dad before they headed to the chapel.

The wedding was at six at American Village. The reception was right after the ceremony in the new ballroom. It was only the second event that has taken place in the ballroom at the American Village since it opened. It was beautiful. I am so glad that my parents were there too. After the wedding and reception most of the cousins went to Devin's house to hang out we got in bed about one in the morning, does anyone else see a pattern here. Trevor and I usually go to bed at like ten even on the weekends so this was a lot for us.

Sunday for brunch the entire family went to Trevor's parents house. They did the same brunch last year for our wedding but of course we were in flight to Jamaica. After telling everyone by and returning the tux we went strait home and took a long nap.

Alissa did text me this picture of her in the airport at 6:30 Sunday morning on the way to Mexico. It is a picture of her with the bag that I gave her for Christmas with her new married initials on it.

They are staying in Playa Mujeres, Mexico at the all inclusive Excellence Resort. This is two pictures of the room that they are staying in. How jealous does this make everyone? It makes me want to go on another honeymoon really bad.

Hopefully after the photographer puts their pictures up I will put some up. The photographer had a photo booth there that guests could go and take whatever pictures that they wanted. It was an awesome idea and we took some really crazy ones. I know other people took pictures too so as soon as I get them I will put them up.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
