# 2 Is Booked

My # 2 on the 101 list was to go out of the Country again whether it be Sandals or not. Well we just booked it this morning and it is another Sandals. It is the Sandals in St Johns, Antigua. I am so excited. We booked it for the end of May after I get finished with school. I am ready to go now! Here are a few pictures of the resort and room...

Christmas 2010

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year. Ours was great. We started out the celebration with Trevor's family by going to Prince of Peace for the Christmas Eve service, like we have done ever since we have been together. After church we went to dinner at Firebirds. We always go back to Trevor's parents house and take pictures.

On Christmas morning we woke up and did our Christmas with each other. Of course we kept the tradition going with matching Pj's that I used to do with my family again this year. Trevor did really good this year. Last year he got me another band for my wedding set, which he didn't have to do a lot of shopping for. This year he went shopping and got me clothes. He knows me well! I only had to take one thing back because it did not fit. But other than that I loved everything. As he was shopping for me this year he called and said, "this is really hard can't I just get you another band". Ha! Ha! He is such an awesome husband and I thank God everyday that he brought us together.

After we did our Christmas together we went to his parents house for breakfast and opened presents with them. Trevor got a new Wii from them so he will have that to keep him occupied when I start back school.

After we left their house we went home dropped off the presents from them and picked up the presents to take to my parents and went there for lunch. The kids, my sister, and brother-in-law were already there. Santa came to my parents to the kids as well. My parents really out did themselves this year, you will see in the pictures. After we opened presents and ate Madison read us a Christmas story. She is getting to be so good at reading.

55 Inch TV for each other! I have never seen a box so big.

After all the family stuff we came home and Trevor hooked up his Wii and Devin came over to play it with him. Trevor also got a remote control car and I got a flip video so later I will have to put up a video of Stanford and the car, pretty funny.

It was so nice to spend so much time with our families and not worry about anything else like school or obligations anywhere else. I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life.

Life these Days

Praise the lord!! I am out of school for a few weeks and passed, which is always a plus. So on to my 5th and FINAL semester. I start back on January 10th. It was a rough week last week taking my final and feeling uneasy until finding out my grade until the middle of the week. Now I am just really ready for Christmas and time that we will spend with family and friends.

On Friday I finished a few presents for Trevor and now I am feeling good knowing that all of our shopping is done. Everything is wrapped and under the tree. After shopping at the summit that morning I went to meet my mom and we got our nails and toes done. Great treat, I might add. After that we went back to her house to do our traditional Christmas baking. We made so much stuff including: chocolate covered Ritz and peanut butter, chocolate covered pretzels, peppermint bark, and a few other things. After all of our baking I got ready for a date night with Trevor. We went to Stix for dinner and then went to see Despicable Me. Was all in all a great day.

On Saturday Trevor and I met his dad, Chad, and Alissa at Fox Valley for dinner. Always delicious! After dinner we went to see Devin's new band play at Matthews Bar and Grill downtown. They did a really good job. There were lots of people there. We didn't get home until midnight. That is really late for us old folks!

On Sunday I went golfing with Trevor, Greg, and Chad. It was a little chilly but not too bad. I just didn't know what to do with myself all weekend without picking up a book.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!

Heather and Ben's Engagement!!

Last weekend we were able to celebrate with Heather and Ben on their engagement. He proposed to her at dinner then when they came back to his house we were all waiting to surprise her. All of their family were there and a few friends. We had a good time celebrating with them. Here are a few pictures from the night.

Congratulations to the happy couple!!!

The next morning Trevor and I ran in the Jingle Bell Run with Marcie's work. I have not worked out or done any cardio since the Race for the Cure in October, so I am a little out of shape. Trevor always stays back with me but this time I told him to just run without me. He ran the whole thing with his brother and finished in 27 minutes. I was very proud of him. I finished in 37 minutes which I wasn't really that happy with but those hills are a killer in this race. So I guess it was okay.

This Monday is my final for the semester. I am extremely nervous about it so please pray for me this weekend while I study and Monday for the test. Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week.

Thanksgiving Weekend

I haven't been a good blogger lately, just a lot going on. It was so nice being out of school all week. I worked only Monday and Tuesday but then was able to come home and cook dinner like normal people do. I was off Work Wednesday through Friday so it was really hard to get up and go back to work today. On Thursday we went to Paul and Christy's house to eat the traditional turkey and dressing lunch and then my parents came over that afternoon and we cooked out steaks with them. We went to bed some what early that night and woke up at 3am to start our Christmas shopping trip. We went to Kohl's, Dicks, Academy, and Sam's. Luckily we got most everything done with just a few little things left and were done by 6am. Then we went to The Egg and I for breakfast, which was Delicious. After shopping and breakfast we went home put 5 layers of clothes on then headed to Tuscaloosa for the day. Samantha and Joe rode down there with us and traffic wasn't really that bad getting there at 8 in the morning. After we dropped them off at their friends house we met up with Molly, my high school friend and first roommate in Tuscaloosa.

We tailgated with her family and some friends for a while before the game. The tent was great. It had a heater in it that we gathered around a few times to get warm between playing games. We had such a good time hanging out. I sooo wish the weather would have been better though it would have made it more enjoyable. Trevor and I went in to the game expecting an ok game with back and forth scoring but man was I wrong. After every sack in the first half of Cam from Auburn and points scored every time Bama had the ball Trevor and I just kept looking at each other like are you serious. Where has this bama team been all year? We were very cold and it started to rain on us a few times so when it was 24 to 3, close to halftime, we went back to the tailgate and watched the rest of the game under the tent and with the heater in front of us.
So after the half it was apparently two totally different teams playing and the game turned around with Auburn scoring all the points and bama scoring none. As you all know!! None the less we had a good time and were exhausted after it was over and ready for bed.

On Saturday we basically were lazy and just hung out around the house for the most part then went to Morris and Marcie's house that night to watch a few games.

On Sunday after church I studied some then Trevor and I went to play tennis, which I haven't done since the summer and paying for it today. After we left the court we went to my parents house to celebrate Thanksgiving with all of them. We had more yummy turkey and dressing with my parents, sister, brother-in-law, kids, and my Nanny and Richard.

We all sat around and talked about what we were thankful for this year. I am a pretty emotional person when we get to talking about things like that so I only said a little to keep from crying. Of course I am thankful for my husband who takes such good care of me. He has been so good to me with being in school by helping around the house and cooking more. I could not ask for anything better. I am thankful for my parents who brought me up in a christian home and helped me to become the woman I am today. I am also so thankful for my nieces who light up my day when they say my name. I have so much going on with school and work that are so stressful, I just don't stop to think about all the good sometimes. Hope everyone had a wonderful day and that you were able to spend a little time with your family too.

Georgia Auburn Game # 44 and # 50

This weekend I marked a couple of things off my list. Yesterday morning we left at 6:45 in the morning and headed to Auburn for the game. #50 on my list was to go to another college football game. We rode with Trevor's parents down there and Chad and Alissa met us later in the day. We went to Trevor's little brother's house and dropped everything off there then headed to the tailgate. That was # 44 on my list. He has lived in this house for a while now and I still had not seen it. It is super nice. His birthday was last week so we gave him his gifts before the game. This was one of them for Abby his dog.

Justin along with his friends staked us out a place on Friday. We hung out at the tailgate, grilled hamburgers, and played corn holes before the game started.

I was so proud of Georgia for doing so well. They haven't had that great of a year and to come out and play like they did was great for their fans. During the first quarter the sun was right in our faces but it was all worth it when we got to see such a beautiful sunset.

This picture turned out pretty good for it to be taken with Trevor's cell phone!

After the game we ate salad and yummy lasagna at Justin's house. He was nice to sleep on the couch while we all slept in his rooms. We had such a great day. We just got home, so now it is back to studying. Hope everyone has a great week.

Sips and Strokes # 52

Today was Veteran's day so let me start out by saying thank you guys and girls for all that you do for our country. It is a selfless act to do what you do and I really do appreciate it. Please pray for a friend I used to work with that just left from over there to come home. Please pray that he has safe travels back to Birmingham.

My doctor was off today so I ended up taking the day off to study. So that is what I did all day. Tonight I got together with a few girls and marked something else off my 101 list. We went to eat at Margareta Grill and then headed to Sips and Strokes. I was super excited because I have always wanted to go but there was never really a time where I could and actually paint something that I would hang in my house. I have always wanted to paint one of their angels so I finally got the opportunity. I am sure everyone was real mad at me by the time we got done because like I said the angel was my idea and mixing skin tone colors sucks. It took probably an hour alone just painting her face neck and arm. By the end everyone was like, "I am so sick of skin". We had a really good time though and FYI pretty sure Carina is a silent artist. Her background looked amazing.

Marcie took a lot more pictures than I did, so after she puts them up I will add them.
