Heather’s Sprinkle and Fisher’s First Birthday

A few Friday nights ago we had something called a sprinkle for one of my good friends Heather Savage. It was a surprise, she thought it was a jewelry party. Apparently a sprinkle is just a small shower for someone who is having a same sex baby. If anyone remembers correctly THIS was her last baby shower a year ago. She didn’t make it to the shower because her water broke early. So she was happy to of made it to this one.

 

 

 

 

She got lots of nice things. It was good to see some of my close friends as well. It seems the older we get the harder it is to get together with everyone.

On Sunday afternoon I went to Fisher’s first birthday party. Trevor had a tennis match so he could not come. The kids were so cute playing in the bouncy and they did a good job decorating. It was an Auburn themed birthday party.

 

 

I wish I would not have just eaten with my family before I went because they had some really good tailgating type food. They had cheese dip, chicken fingers, spinach dip, bean dip, and many other things. Fisher was so cute digging in his cake too. 

First Football Weekend In Town

Last weekend was actually the 3rd weekend of football but our first one in town. We went over to Devin’s house for the morning games. Trevor went early in the day and I didn’t make it over there to around half time of the Auburn game.  I took advantage of the alone time by cleaning house.

After eating some lunch and the game was over we took all the dogs outside and took a picture of them swinging. Not really sure how we got this to happen.

 

After hanging out there for a little while we came home for a little nap before heading to Lindsey and Jason’s house. We got over to their house right before kick off for the Bama game. We had a fish fry there with the Lawyer twins and there other halves.  We had a good time and the food was wonderful.

Georgia and Alabama both won that day so it was a happy day for us!

Lobdell Vacation And State Tennis Tournament

I know…it has been forever since I have blogged. Life has been crazy but I will try to do better. On Saturday, September 3rd, we left to go to the beach with Trevor’s family. We left to head down there at around 6 in the morning with Trevor and his little brother. We left early so we could make it to PC before kick off of the games. We started out at my friend Lindsey’s parents house. We hung out with them all day until late afternoon then headed to Grayton Beach. We had never been there before but were very impressed with everything. You can actually drive on the beach there and walk to everything. When we first got there after checking everything out at the house we just ordered pizza for dinner.

It had already started to rain and didn’t really stop until Monday. On Sunday we watched a few movies and went to Red Bar for dinner, which was delicious.

On Monday Trevor and I spent the day by ourselves. We watched more movies and went to the outlets. It stormed so bad that day. Before we walked in the first store there it wasn’t raining at all but by the time we got in the store, after a sprint, we were soaked from head to toe. The wind was blowing so hard that you could not walk out of a store and into the next without getting drenched. We had fun with it though. That evening Trevor and I walked on the beach and enjoyed something I have never seen before, the waves! They were so big and started so far out in the ocean. The wind was blowing so hard that I could almost lean forward and it would hold me up. It was the craziest thing. The water came all the way up to the houses so there was really no beach. Tuesday through the rest of the week was beautiful and perfect. It was in the low 80’s. The rest of the time there we just hung out on the beach and at the pool. It was so relaxing.

Trevor and his mixed doubles tennis team made it to the state tennis tournament in Dothan. They did very well. They made it to the semi finals but not the finals. I was so proud of him. Trevor and his partner Caroline won all five of their games. You can’t ask for much better than that.

Since we missed the first two football weekends, due to being out of town, we definitely plan to hang out with friends this weekend.

My 27th Birthday!!

We started celebrating on Thursday when Trevor called while I was on my way home from work saying we were going to dinner with Lindsey and Jason then to a movie. We went to see Crazy Stupid Love. We all thought it was really cute.  It is always nice to hang out with them. On Friday morning I took off work for my birthday. We usually don’t work on Fridays but they decided to open it up for a new thing we call no frown Friday, just cosmetic procedures. Trevor woke me up at 5:30 that morning while he was getting ready for work to give me my birthday gift. He was excited and told me he couldn’t wait. I sat up in bed and opened this….

I was so surprised and happy!! It took me like 5 minutes to put them on because they have the screw on backs. I need those for sure though so I will not loose them. Of course then I had a hard time going back to sleep due to the excitement. But eventually I did. After I woke up for the second time I got ready to go get my hair done on 280. After I got finished my mom met me and we went to the Cheesecake Factory. It was so yummy. After we ate our pasta we had to get cheesecake. I decided to venture out from my plain cheesecake with strawberries to this delicious red velvet cheesecake….

After lunch we went shopping at the summit for a little bit before I headed home. After I got home Trevor and I hung out for a little while and instead of going to play tennis, due to the 100 degree temperatures, we decided to take a little nap. After we woke up as we were getting ready for dinner he told me we were meeting Marcie and Morris. When we walked in Iguana Grill I found some of my favorite people there. Trevor had invited some of my girlfriends to come. I was so happy to see them there. Trevor did so good! After we hung out for a few hours there we went by and saw Devin play for a few minutes on the way home.  I had such an amazing birthday. I am so thankful for the friends and family that I have. Thank you everyone who came to celebrate with me!

 

Please continue to pray for my dad, he is still in Virginia. He should be home next weekend!

Our Weekend and Trevor’s Birthday!

On Friday my dad left to go to Virginia for the wild land fires there. So please say an extra prayer for his safety while he is gone. He can be there for up to 16 days.

On Saturday, we went to the casino for Trevor’s birthday with his family. We had a lot of fun. When we got there we went straight to our rooms to get ready for dinner. We went to the nicest restaurant there called Miko’s. It was so good. After dinner we started playing the slots for a while. I am pretty sure this is the first time in a long time we came home without loosing any money. We didn’t really come home with any extra though. Trevor and I both won some on the machines so we basically just played on the casinos money the whole time. Pretty nice!

On Sunday after we got home we went down to Lay Lake to celebrate my friends daughter, Sara Bentley’s first birthday party. It was pretty toasty outside that day. She had a good time eating her cake and playing with her presents that her sister helped her open.

On Monday we went to dinner with Trevor’s family at Olive Garden for his 29th birthday. After dinner we went back to the house and had his favorite Edgars strawberry cake and ice cream and opened presents.

Good weekend but tiring. Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend.

Won Ton’s Reveal Party

On Sunday evening Marcie and Justin Morris had a reveal party for their upcoming baby’s gender. It was exciting to find out what they were having with them and the family. It was a cute idea. I had never been to one before. They had the ultrasound and saw all of the babies feature except the sex. They got the ultrasound tech to write it down and put it in an envelope to give to the lady that made the cake. When they cut into the cake it was BLUE. Just what they had hoped. Of course they would have been happy with either! This is them cutting the cake…..and then the reaction after they knew…

 

 

It was fun to see their faces. It was nice to see so many friends there. Here is a few more pictures…

 

Her sister that lives in  Tampa was on skype on the computer watching the whole time. We were so tired still from our trip though so we only stayed for around an hour before meeting Trevor’s parents for dinner. Even though we were tired I am so glad we were able to be there with them. I am excited to start planning a shower that I am hosting for them. Can’t wait to see “Carter Gordon Morris” in person!!!

Beach Long Weekend

On Wednesday Trevor and I left work  around lunch and headed down to the beach. We stayed with our friends Devin and Mary at his parents condo in Gulf Shores.  On Wednesday afternoon when we got there we unpacked then hung out on the beach for a while. That night we went to dinner at Rocco’s, a pizza and oyster place.

We had oysters Rockefeller and pizza. It was so yummy. We go there every time we come down here. All day Thursday it was rainy and yucky outside so we went shopping at the outlets while the boys fished off the pier. We tried to go to The Hangout that night but there was a very long wait so we ended up going to good ole Mikey’s which is always good.

On Friday we went to LuLu’s for lunch after hanging out on the beach for a little while.

We played a few games while we waited. I always love to go there. There was such a pretty view from where we were sitting. We saw so many boats that docked to eat that the boys said, “that would work for us”. On Saturday we basically just hung out on the beach the whole day.

I am glad we were able to get away for a little while. I feel so lucky to be able to do as much as we have this summer. Now that I am out of school it is easy just to pick up and go when  we please. Trevor’s family had not decided  if we were going on a family vacation this year until the other day. They booked this beautiful house at Grayton Beach. We will be leaving to go with them the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
